Most owners do not think about funding until they need it. Then comes the scramble. We help with the step before that.
For fifteen years, I sat on the side of the table that decides who gets funded. I read the applications. I ran the numbers. I learned exactly what makes a request easy to say yes to, and what quietly gets it denied. Over that time I worked on funding from $35,000 all the way up to $40 million.
Here is what I kept seeing: most owners walk in blind. They are guessing at what a funder wants and hoping they brought the right things. I built Funding Prep Studio so you do not have to guess. I took what I know from the inside and turned it into plain-language tools you can work through long before you ever apply.
I have an MBA, so the parts that trip a lot of people up, the numbers and how they all fit together, are where I am most at home. I also serve my community on a few boards: I am treasurer of NAYA (the Native American Youth and Family Center), past president of RMA Portland, and I sit on the board of Confluence. I am an enrolled member of the Yakama Nation.
I built this with Brandon Allen, and together we run Fourteen Feathers Bookkeeping. I made it for the owners who usually get overlooked, the ones told they are too small or too far behind to bother. You are not behind. And you do not have to do this alone.
Funding Prep Studio helps you prepare. It does not lend, broker, or promise any funding outcome.
I handle the funding expertise: fifteen years evaluating funding requests, the readiness tools, and the packet reviews. Brandon Allen builds and runs everything behind the scenes, the tools, the systems, and the operations that keep it all working. We each bring different strengths, and together they cover the whole picture. We run Funding Prep Studio as part of Fourteen Feathers Bookkeeping.
The free tools out there do not come with an expert. The experts do not come with tools. Funding Prep Studio is both: built and reviewed by someone who spent fifteen years deciding who got funded.
When funding suddenly matters, you are left trying to figure out what documents to gather, what reports to pull, which numbers matter, and whether your books are even organized enough to use. That can feel like a lot, especially when the advice online is scattered, technical, or focused only on the application itself.
Funding Prep Studio exists to make that part simpler.
We make practical checklists, trackers, worksheets, and templates that help small business owners organize their documents, review their financial information, see where the gaps are, and prepare for lender conversations. No jargon. No pressure. Just a clear path.
Small business owners deserve clear, practical tools that show them what to organize before they apply. The goal is not perfection. The goal is knowing what you have, what is missing, what needs attention, and what your next step is.
Funding Prep Studio comes from the same team behind Fourteen Feathers Bookkeeping. Fourteen Feathers helps small business owners keep their books clean and clear, so the numbers are easy to understand and use. If working through our resources shows you that bookkeeping is your sticking point, you already have a trusted next step.
Funding Prep Studio and Fourteen Feathers Bookkeeping do not provide lending services, loan approvals, funding guarantees, credit repair, legal advice, tax advice, financial advisory services, or loan application services.
